Andrew was a beloved member of his family, his school, his Scout Troop 161, and his community.

Andrew’s interests and talents were many. He was a natural performer: his charisma and charm radiated off the stage at school plays and events. He loved painting, dancing, and music, especially Michael Jackson. An avid outdoorsman, he was a skilled skier, hiker, + Scout.

He was especially interested in aviation, with dreams of being a pilot and conquering the skies one day. Andrew completed his first set of flight lessons in the summer of 2018 at Mid Island Flight School and at just 12, he received an Honorary Acceptance to Embry Riddle School of Aeronautical Engineering.

Above all, Andrew loved his family. He was very close to his older sister Arianna and beloved by his parents John & Alisa and his dog Shelby. Andrew was survived by a large and loving family who adored him, including his grandparents Jim & Sally McMorris, Fran & Bill Schaefer, Craig Abatelli and great grandma Doris Schaefer; his godparents Chris & Heather Abatelli; his aunts and uncles Kirk & Katie Abatelli, Jim & Beth McMorris, Chris & Marianne McMorris, Jennifer & Chris Lewis, Melissa & Denis Carpenter, Desiree & Mitch Meyer and Dawn Schaefer & Melissa Maura; many loving cousins; and countless friends, fellow Scouts, teachers, and community members.
